The Dictator review

Sacha Baron Cohen plays a vile dictator and yet, no matter how good he is, is also how bad he is. The idea I thought was good, the acting so so, jokes are way below my conservative standards but still made me laugh.

Slap-stick value is off-the-chart on this, no one actor stands out as being exceptional, then this has never been about pure acting. Ending of the film is a clear political message to the American way of life in a comparison to a dictatorship.

I am not sure I need to learn the kind of Israeli language on offer and to be frank, at the end of the film I did feel fairly repulsed! But that tends to be his style.
